    • This was my first read of Urban Fantasy and I loved it I received this book in exchange for a review I really loved reading how Earth had been invaded by creatures from a magical world and their epic battle between good and evil was spilling into our world I liked the human protagonists I liked that the setting was familiar and strange all at the same time I definitely look forward to reading the sequel

    • There is so much going on in this book The world has completely changed and humans are introduced to dragons, dwarves kind of , and other creatures some good, some bad, and some horrible After learning to survive, this story follows two humans as they struggle to reclaim their world, with some unlikely help. This is part one in a series, so there are a lot of loose ends, but also some exciting possibilities.

    • Excellent read Fast paced with satisfying twists and turns Not too scary, but with enough suspense to keep you reading

    • I really enjoyed Resurgent Shadows I m very much looking forward to the series and recommend it for a light and entertaining read No this book is not the next Lord of the Rings in depth or breadth However, if you are like me and enjoy a well written and well described light fantasy with some decent twists and a new concept then this book is well worth reading I did not put the book down and very much enjoyed it Please join me in reading it.I shared this feedback with Kevin else where but I wante [...]

    • One day life is grand The very next day something unpredictable and unimaginable happens What would you do if it were you Would you stay and fight or would you hide These are the questions the characters ask themselves as their adventures take shake shape This is the first book in the Successive Harmony series. There are several mystical creatures, but they have very real human characteristics There are a few I would love to know My favorite character is Sigvid He reminds me of myself sometimes H [...]

    • Great story ideasjust wish there had been better execution and organization of those ideas. There are several interesting stories going on throughout this book If it had been told from only 1 or 2 perspectives and the links between those characters were clear throughout at least a majority of the book, it would have been at better. The story felt very ADHD, jumping all around between characters and timelines without clearly laid patches between them II received a free copy of this book in exchange [...]

    • I received my copy of Resurgent Shadows as a free giveaway through Good reads. My 4 star is really a 3.5 star rating Interesting story, well developed setting, the world taken over by Orc ish, Dwarf ish etc beings was believable as were the various locations in the novel Characters were often sympathetic despite the violence and carnage. What brings it down from a 4 star is that the chapters jumped from one character s story line to another Common literary technique which is usually quite effectiv [...]

    • I received a copy of this book through giveaways.Very interesting and intriguing story A fun blend of different lore Unfortunately, it is a bit scatterbrained which made in hard for me to read in big chunks Another deterrent was the ridiculous number of grammatical issues It just got worse as I kept reading The ending felt a little rushed, but I enjoyed it.Overall, I enjoyed the book It just doesn t seem like it is done yet.

    • Jumps around between characters and timelines, making it difficult to easily follow characters The two humans struggle, with help,to regain their world It has good twists and turns, with suspense, to keep story interesting.
