I never dreamed of being a writer when I was in elementary school My desire was to be a singer and to be a guest performer on Soul Train keep in mind, this is 1979 1980 Throughout elementary school, my extracurricular activities were reading which I was an avid reader and singing I would try to write when I was nine but because what I wrote made no sense I chose not to dwell on it A few years later, a family member was so focused on being a rapper he encouraged me to write as he would write songs When I look back at that period of my life 1986 1987 , Hip Hop was starting to get vulgar and I tried to blend in After a while, I stopped using vulgarity and shortly after, a classmate in high school introduced me to poetry After writing this one poem with this classmate in 1991 , I embraced the concept of poetry I didn t know that God was going to use me to write poetry that would eventually be the making of these books I was writing what was in my heart at that particular moment in my life while avoiding the idea of writing a book After taking a long hiatus from writing, I started writing again When I started writing again this is now 2004 2005 , two sisters in Christ prophetically spoke these words to me I have a vision You will write something that will change someone s life, or even be quoted till the end of time Again, I didn t think anything of it, even though numerous people encouraged me to put a book together I was focused on writing to be a blessing to someone In 2009, I released my first book which has now pushed me into prophetic destiny I encourage you to pursue your passion and talent for His glory, and you too will be pushed into prophetic destiny Many lives have already been blessed through the poetry God has given me to write I pray that you open your heart to His Spirit and that you will allow Him to minister to you Finally, I pray that you are blessed, highly favored empowered to prosper under His hand.

    • EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL, UNFORTUNATELY RELEVANTFrom the outside looking in, Michael Anderson is what most would deem a typical young boy Unfortunately for him, Michael s life is anything but normal While in school, one of his teachers gives an assignment to write in a journal A lover of poetry, this exercise becomes his outlet from a world where he is forced to endure multiple levels of abuse As if not being favored in his own mother s eyes is not enough, Michael also has to deal with the vicious ta [...]

    • Sexual abuse, child abuse, depression, teenage suicide all taboo subjects, but all are definitely brought to light in Tremayne Moore s novel, Deaf, Dumb, Blind, and Stupid Michael Anderson s Fight for Life During Michael s funeral service, his life is recounted by Brother Freeman, the head of a church congregation At the suggestion of Brother Freeman, Michael had started writing a journal about his experiences Now in the hands of Brother Freeman, this journal is read to his family, friends, and [...]

    • I recommend this book, not because I helped edit it and know the author, but because of the light it sheds on victims of emotional, physical and sexual abuse This is not a novel for the faint of heart nor does it wrap everything up neat and tidy in the end with some happy go lucky ending It is not preachy It is full of emotion and will leave you asking a big WHY question Why did so many people turn a blind eye to Michael Anderson s cries for help Many who have been victims of abuse and read this [...]

    • Tremanye Moore penned a book that has its own voice It is crafted in such a way that I had to take inventory in my own life I began to ask myself, Are there Michael Andersons that I have missed along the way This book made me sick literally I had to put it down after about 30 minutes and pray However, it s a book that should be read by all, and everyone should become sick We should be so sick that we are forced to change from our judgmental ways The book clearly says, WAKE UP There are people to [...]

    • This was a different type of read for me as far as the content and the way that it was written It was a heartbreaking look into the diary of a young man named Michael who suffered from molestation, abuse, bullying and ridicule Unfortunately this abuse had a very negative affect on him and how he viewed life It s so sad to think that their are so many children who are suffering from abuse and their cries are being unheard Also the notion of what happens in the family, stays in the family ps very [...]

    • I m so glad I read this book, even though it was painfully difficult to watch the main character, Michael, struggle through the abuses in his life Tremayne Moore dug down deep and really went into the heart of what physically, emotionally, and sexually abused children face in their lives and struggle with This is a book I wish everyone would read If everyone did, child abuse would no longer be the epidemic it is and the victims would get the help they so desperately need.

    • This emotionally stirring story is both relevant and truthful This story exposes the raw emotions and painful aftermath associated with child abuse and molestation This book illustrates that it still takes a village to love, raise, and protect our children Kudos to the author for this must read This book should be required reading for parents and young adults.

    • Where do one even begin first after having my heart ripped out of my chest Not knowing if I wanted to allow the tears to fall, but I keep on reading I have to salute this Man of God for the transparency and allowing God to use him in such a way When thinking about the life of Michael Anderson as this wounded, broken, mistreated, and victimized by all those that came in contact with him, as he wore his BIG HEART FULL OF LOVE ON HIS SLEEVE There such come a point in our christian walk that we have [...]

    • I will admit it took me a long time to pick up this book I ve had it for over a year but that s because I read fiction strictly for entertainment I knew this book was much than that After a long, intense discussion with the author about abuse I decided to go ahead and read it I can see how anyone who has struggled with abuse could relate to this character and hopefully see the value in their lives and choosing to stay in the fight and not give up It was hard to read, I had to put it down and co [...]

    • I usually never enjoy this style of writing but in this instance, I see how relevant and how pertinent this style needed to be for the focus of Michael s story Such heartbreak he skirted over because he felt that s what he needed just to get to the next day Very sad with the realization of being very close in age to Michael Whilst mourning my own agony , he truly dealt with intense pain and trying to find a place to belong Victims need to find their stage, as Michael truly wanted, to voice the w [...]

    • I enjoyed this book, even though the subject matter is harsh It portrays what a young victim goes through, in his own words, during a life of abuse For the most part, his parents are no help, which makes it even harder on him It is thought provoking at times while sad at other times Overall, a good read.

    • I won this book from First Reads This book was very sad The writing was amazing and I really liked the way that it was written I loved this book because I really like to read about real life situations. This book is about a kid who is wrtting in a journal about his life His life is not a very good one He was sexualy abused The journal is about his many struggles through life.

    • The concept of the book, while it deals with very real and painful issues, is creatively executed The reflections about Michael Anderson are indicative of what happens in real life as those around others don t start putting together the pieces until after tragedy strikes I read this book while deciding if I would take on Tremayne as a public relations client.
